The first month of my experiment, in which I combined running a YouTube channel with referral programs on crypto exchanges, has passed. In this video, I summarize the results, share the results, and give practical advice on how to effectively attract new users and earn from affiliate programs.
How the affiliate and referral program works

The referral program gives a small percentage of commission from the trading transactions of invited users (referrals).

The affiliate program offers higher commission percentages, bonuses, and additional rewards. For example, right now on Bybit I get 35% + 10% from super affiliates , while a regular referral only brings 20%.
The bottom line is that the affiliate program encourages the attraction of active traders and even those who become partners of the exchange, which allows you to receive additional profit from their activities.
My experience in the first month

Number of referrals: 23 on Bybit and 6 on Binance.

Active traders: 12 people are actively trading and replenishing their deposit.

Profit: I made about $88 on Bybit and expect it to reach $100–105 .
It is important to note that the main profit comes from one active referral who trades large amounts, while other users bring in a small additional income.
Super affiliates: additional income
If your referral becomes an exchange partner, you get 10% of their profit . In my example, this already brings about $900 of additional income from super affiliates. Thus, the affiliate system stimulates not only to attract new users, but also motivates them to become active traders.
Using YouTube to attract referrals

Beginner Content – Make simple videos that help new traders learn the stock market.

Tooltips and links – be sure to include an affiliate link in the video and description.

Content language – for a larger audience, I recommend Russian or English. The Ukrainian audience is much smaller, which limits the number of registrations.

SEO optimization – keywords in the video title and description significantly increase the chances that new users will find the video.
Even with a small number of videos (20+), newcomers are actively registering, and profits begin to grow.
Why a Telegram channel can be useful
Running a Telegram channel allows you to interact with your audience directly, motivate them to register and trade. However, it takes more time than YouTube, as you need to constantly answer questions and maintain activity in the chat.
Forecast for the future

After accumulating a larger number of referrals, profits will grow steadily.

Later, you can enable YouTube monetization , which will bring additional income from views.
